Assemblage Sanctuary, Bethel, NY
September 14–16, 2018
Our bodies are our temples, the vessels through which we experience this reality. If our spiritual studies and consciousness exploration ignores our physicality, then we are likely not experiencing the fullness of our potential. What happens when we fully inhabit our bodies? What does it mean to be grounded? How is our connection to the Earth related to our connection to our bodies?
We will spend the weekend in community, diving deep into this study through various embodiment practices, including asana yoga, kundalini, nature immersion, practical ritual & dance. The work will be supported by a food prayer comprised of local and organic ingredients designed to nourish and heal the spirit and body alike. Join us . . . come home to yourself.
ALISON SINATRA has been teaching yoga for over 15 years and loves helping people remember inner space and a free body. She received her first teacher training certificate in 2001 in New York City and continues to be influenced by master teachers from many traditions. She is a senior teacher at Woodstock Yoga in Woodstock, NY and Kula Yoga in New York City. Her classes are breath and heart-centered with deep, intelligent sequences that secretly make you work. She incorporates humor, Kundalini and devotional intention. Alison leads and co-leads retreats all over the world. Her favorite and most popular is Return of the Queen, which creates a transformative, inclusive, healing space for women. Her spiritual path also includes Native and South American studies and Reiki. She lives in the woods with her intuitive hubby, Anton and magical munchkins Violet and Joseph Little Hawk.
NATAVI & MIGUEL are space holders, wellness workers, and magic makers. With a deep connection to the Earth, their mission is to co-create spaces for people to experience new, deeper expressions of themselves, one another, and the natural world. They support this work of community building with movement, music, healing modalities, and food prayer, all aimed at raising the vibration of the human heart, mind, and body.
The Sanctuary: Nestled in the forests of Upstate New York lies The Assemblage Sanctuary, a magnetic property located across over 140 acres to slow down, connect with nature and exchange ideas around consciousness, science, philosophy and culture. This is a home for magic and transformation — where we as a community can put our ethos of interconnectedness, well-being and sustainability into practice. The land includes streams, ponds, & protected wetlands, hiking trails, glamping tents, an organic garden, and an array of wildlife.
